During a daily briefing provided to parents, students, and teachers on video, White Plains School Superintendent Dr. Joseph Ricca said on Tuesday, March 17, announced the news.
Ricca, who did not name the school where the "colleague" worked, said the staff member was doing well.
The superintendent said the district had notified all who worked with the affected employee and that the district was working with the Health Department to make sure all protocols were followed.
"We send best wishes to our colleague," he said.
Ricca said that all families and staff associated with the school where the employee worked have been notified of the positive diagnosis as well.
